It is our paramount goal to make meaningful change within and across Vermont to improve outcomes for all Vermonters and eliminate racial and other disparities. We must also recognize that harm continues to happen every day while we work to accomplish this goal. For this reason, we have compiled a set of resources to help address these daily harms. Below is a small collection of tools, most featuring external work by community organizers and external subject matter experts. We will continue to add to this list, and--more importantly--we will continue to work toward a Vermont where we rely on tools such as these less and less.
- "Surviving & Resisting Hate: A Toolkit for People of Color" - Developed by Dr. Hector Y. Adams and Dr. Nayeli Y. Chavez-Dueñas
- The 2023 Black History Month Series - An archive of our 28-day e-mail series containing information, events, and celebratory art related to Black history in the U.S.
